Balamory is Back! And we're excited to welcome Lion TV Scotland to our studio to meet the children in our local community and give them the opportunity to shine while auditioning for the re-make of this classic kids TV show! From Lion TV Scotland- We are looking for groups of pre-school children aged 4 and 5 to take part in the new series of BALAMORY for CBeebies, and we hope we can find them at Dramalam Performing Arts! If your child is currently 3 years old and will be 4 by mid-August 2025 then we may be able to consider them. We are unable to consider children already in Primary school. BALAMORY is a pre-school series based around the adventures of a small community in the fictitious picturesque Scottish town of Balamory, where pretty coloured houses nestle around its charming busy harbour. Each episode will feature comedy, songs and puzzles aimed at our young audience. We will be visiting Dramalam Performing Arts to run a fun workshop that will last around 30 minutes. It will be part of the class on Sunday 8th June and will include games and the children introducing themselves individually on camera. Workshops will be held by our Casting Producer, Vanda Kettelhut, who will be accompanied by a member of staff from Dramalam Performing Arts at all times. These casting sessions will be very informal and fun, lasting no more than 30 minutes, and will involve the kids playing games and introducing themselves to the camera. We film these sessions to review casting decisions with our Series Producer This filming is carried out purely for research purposes and office use and will not be broadcast anywhere.   Our filming period will be between July and September 2025, so we have a variety of filming dates. All filming will take place in Glasgow, and Mull, so you must live within a commuting distance to both areas.   If you haven't heard from us by July, please assume your application hasn't been taken any further.   We film these sessions to review casting decisions with our Series Producer and therefore need signed parental consent for children to take part in advance. This filming is carried out purely for research purposes and office use, and will not be broadcast anywhere. Please be aware that participating in the session does not guarantee being on the programme, but we are sure it will be an enjoyable workshop for all children involved. If you are happy for your child to take part, please enrol them via Dramalam's Class4Kids page and Dramalam team will send you the permission permission letter. Please make sure any child who wants to take part has a signed form before coming along to the audition. Unfortunately, we cannot include any child who does not have a signed consent form.
